I’m sitting on the train thinking I should’ve cut my nails this morning.
This is from the other night, but that is what I want to do all day! I ended up working 5 days this week at American Apparel instead of 3 like I have been. But I did get overtime pay thanks to Black Friday, so I’m okay with that. Only two more weeks of working and then fun vacation time with Alex!
If you haven’t heard, Shake Shack is opening a new location in Miami in 2010! I think the next logical step after that is California, what do you all think?
Also, if you are going to be around for the holiday season, don’t miss out on the donuts/apple cider they are serving up and the hot chocolate! I definitely need to get my butt over there sometime soon to sample these holiday treats!
I have a few invites, so leave me your gmail address if you want one. You can reply via the question OR you can leave a comment (if you don’t have a Tumblr.)
Do you want an invite?
So as a result of not knowing where I’m going to be in January 201, I’ve been collecting inspiration for wherever I will be moving to to decorate my room. While I’ve been in New York, I haven’t done any decorating. It’s hard for me to decorate somewhere temporary as I just feel like it’s not really a home of mine. However, I realized that this in fact does make me quite sad, so maybe I just need to accept the hard task of decorating, even if something is temporary and uncertain.
I love this idea with the clothes pins and string. I never want to put push-pins in my photos and I don’t find tape to be that great either. My only concern would be damaging the photo where the clothes pin is clipping onto it. Bu aesthetically it does look rather neat.

I’ve always wanted a lofted bedroom for myself. But only if I’m living alone, because noise travels so well into a loft. This particular design is perfect, I would move into this loft in a heartbeat.

Britney Spears - My Only Wish (This Year)
Don’t hate me for posting more Christmas music. Thanksgiving is over, and I’m now in the holiday spirit! This is one of my other favorites!
Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas Is You
My all time favorite Christmas song!
Thanksgiving 2009: So we had an orphan Thanskgiving potluck which ended up being a blast. My friend Jonathan set it up, and we all brought REAL food! I think we all were expecting take-out or chips and junk food. But as you can see, it was a fabulous meal. I was definitely thankful for Jonathan and his friends for making it a great Thanksgiving!

So this is a bit overdue, but on Tuesday and Wednesday, I was fortunate enough to go see Sonic Youth! All I can say about them was that they are great performers and it was really fun. The crowd was more rowdy the second night, and the unnecessary mosh pit during the opener who was relatively poppy was unexpected. But amazing experience all together, thanks to my internship!
Going to amazing shows for free is definitely one of the best perks of working in the industry.
Before and After: A Refrigerator Makeover
I always have trouble at my apartment with food storage, and when I saw this on Real Simple, I couldn’t help but read it! They have a bunch of really neat containers and ideas for how to keep your food fresh and organized! Now if only I could be in control of my fridge…
More inspirational photos of kitchen organization! I love anything that is clean and simple!
Thanksgiving 2009: I’m thankful for my mom. If you know me, you know I don’t have the best relationship with my parents. The relationships with my dad and stepmom have been slowly declining over the last year or so, and it’s made my life a lot more stressful. But luckily my relationship with my mom has been getting better, slowly. I must say I’m incredibly thankful for her, especially in the last 6 months for being so supportive of my move to New York, helping me out my money situation, and not giving me a hard time about working in music (even though she doesn’t understand the business at all.) Sometimes it is a good reminder that I at least have 1 parent in my corner.
